NEW to ME: NEUROGRAPHICS!

I’m so happy to be back to blogging and sharing with my loyal patrons and new folks who are just getting to know me! So many changes in 9 months! WHEW!!

I did this exercise called neurographics using colored pens and markers and this was what came out. It’s a process to reprogram your brain around an issue or a problem you might be experiencing at the moment, using graphics on paper.

So, this is the final image from the first attempt I made. It’s fascinating how it did influence my brain and actually came out looking like a bunch of neurons and helped me change my perspective on the issue.

AND, it totally reminded me of a painting I did last year before moving to AZ using a different technique in fluid acrylics. SO, see “Neurographic 1” below which will be getting signed and varnished and added to the website for sale soon. It’s a really nice graphic looking painting in a wonderful format and size which will be abe to be hung either vertically or horizontally.

FALL and DECEMBER in the DESERT!

I’m having a great fall in Phoenix, AZ so far! Had Thanksgiving with my kids and grandkids and extended family too. First one in a long time over here.

And, I’m getting ready for a sweet arts and craft show at my new church home this weekend. I’m singing in the choir which rocks and does lots of gospel sounds with a very positive message! Unity Spiritual Center of Sun City.

I’m showing a few new items of jewelry, some greeting cards and of course small paintings. It’s just to let the new crowd know what I do. Also, been playing with some new paints and techniques I need to perfect before adding them to the website, but here’s a sneak peak for you devotees of my blog!

Practice, practice, practice.

My 26% is showing!

Been well over a month since I chatted with you all!

Can’t believe how time flies…can you? I’ve been under the pressure cooker with all the stuff one has to do following the death of their spouse, even WITH grief brain. I’ve been so blessed by my community in getting through this rough patch AND I’ve been having some lovely times with family and friends through it all.

Since I can claim 26% Irish DNA, and coming up is my second favorite holiday, St. Patrick’s Day, I’m excited to feature some of my green paintings and create some more. I’ve poured over a wooden Shamrock to hang on my front door and that has cheered me up considerably! Hope you’ll enjoy perusing the site looking for he “green” paintings! Some say IRISH SALE which gives them away as featured. Check them out and enjoy celebrating the “Everybody’s Irish” holiday on the 17th. Erin Go Braugh!

The Only Constant is Change

Sadly it’s been a week since the love of my life, my spiritual and marriage partner left this earthly realm. Roddy Jackson, 4-9-42 to 12-7-22, R.I.P., my love, I know you do. His kindness, fun and friendly nature, his deep intellect and his tremendous musical talent helped inform the last 28 years of my making life and art! We are both at Peace knowing the only constant is change, that life and love are eternal and we often reinvent ourselves because of these types of human changes.

So, I’m committed in even greater ways to my painting, my spiritual and creative enlightenment, of course to my family, friends and incredible community of arts! I have tremendous support in all areas and hopefully will continue to produce work that others will want to grace their spaces! “Don’t cry for me, Argentina!” It will take some time to adjust, but “The Best is Yet to Be”. Thanks so much for your continued patronage!

Rising Phoenix, 11x14”, standard edge, SOLD, thank you!
